JMS LIBRARY MISSION STATEMENT
It is our mission to support Journey’s learning community by providing students with the opportunities and tools necessary to become future-ready, lifelong learners. We are committed to accomplishing this by:
- Cultivating a space and culture that is welcoming to all students, faculty, and staff.
- Promoting a love of reading.
- Empowering students to create content that reaches a global audience.
- Teaching learners how to access, evaluate, and use information critically, effectively, and ethically.
- Curating a rich collection of resources that reflects and enhances Journey’s unique cultural and educational needs.
- Ensuring equitable information access for all learners.
- Providing hands-on, project-based experiences with emerging technologies.
- Modeling a collaborative culture for students by intentionally designing, implementing, and reflecting on lessons alongside classroom teachers.

*Students visit the library on an as-needed basis between classes or with their teacher's permission.

- Students may check out two books at a time.
- The circulation time frame is two weeks.
- Students are expected to pay for books that are damaged or lost.
