About Us

Journey Middle School opened in August 2023 as Madison City Schools' newest middle school, serving grades 6–8. As the third middle school in the district, Journey was established to accommodate the city's rapid growth and provide students with innovative learning opportunities in a modern 170,000-square-foot facility on Celtic Drive. Home of the Jaguars, Journey Middle School is dedicated to influencing and empowering all students to excel academically and socially while developing the skills, character, and adaptability needed to thrive as future leaders and global citizens. Students from Journey continue their educational journey at either Bob Jones High School or James Clemens High School.
