Coach Matt Sanders-Head Baseball Coach

I am excited to be at Journey Middle School for my second year teaching as a Physical Education Teacher and Head Baseball Coach. I graduated from Bob Jones in 2014 and got a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Troy University and a Master’s degree from Jacksonville State University in Physical Education. I played baseball as a 4-year starter at Troy University, got selected in the 2018 draft by the Seattle Mariners organization, and played for a few years in the minor leagues. In 2022, I was the head coach for the Bob Jones JV baseball team, where we went to the championship game of our area tournament. Go Jags!
